St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Whitemarsh, will present a special Benefit Concert on Saturday April 16 at 5 p.m. This Brass and Organ Concert featuring Derrick Goff, St. Thomas’ Choir Director and Organist and the Alexander Brass Quintet will be held to support the Gail and David Simmonds Memorial Brass Fund.
This Fund was established to support something Gail and David cherished—trumpets and other brass on Christmas Eve. Can you imagine “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” without the fanfare? Gail and David were beloved members of St. Thomas’ and the choice was recently made to build this fund up to a size necessary to add it as an Endowment Fund. The goal of this concert is to raise the funds necessary to establish the Endowment and have its income support the treasured brass at Christmas. We can do this with your help!
